A Short History of the HRRA

Hello; Kris Henkel here.

"In 1973 or 1974 some of my friends and I formed the H.R.R.A. I have old "Motorcycles Hawaii" clippings about to turn to dust covering a race we had at the Ewa Beach track. I went to Google just now to find out that the H.R.R.A. is still alive and kicking!

I  remember the great times we had on the track and every turn clearly. I rode a Kawasaki Mach III and went to at least a dozen track days and organized races. We used the VERY long version of the track which went to the right near the end of the straight, right, left, through a dip, left, straight and left onto the very end of the end of the track, "Mongoose country". What  happened to that interesting section? I live in Palm Springs, Ca. now and am an asphalt contractor. Still ride --- a BMW 1150GS and still go "Pouching" other riders on occasion.

Later, Kris"
