As long as it's done by a pro, it should be no problem. Hell who knows, maybe those guys can repair a frame and make it straighter than stock! (considering that mass-manufacturing might result in a less than perfect frame).

There is GP Frame & Wheel in Napa, CA, run by Gerry Piazza. Kim said he's the brother of the guy at Frame Straight (FSS). Anyway, I sent some wheels to Gerry and they came back perfect! Might be cheaper to mail to Napa than Michigan as FSS wants you to use UPS. I used USPS Priority ($33) to send the wheels to Gerry, he used UPS ($80) to send them back.

Whoa, I guess I should talk to Kim about straightening my frame then. Shocked I didn't even think it was possible. Wink

Always wondered how people in Hawaii get their frames/wheels/forks fixed...Guess theres no one who can do it on the island huh? Damn that sucks, that means you have to send it out...Dr. John's has straightened a bunch of my frames, forks etc..Even stuff I was going to throw in the dumpster he brought back from the dead..He's legit..He does the yoshimura suzuki race bikes...

Dr. Johns messed up a bike for me a few years ago, I wouldn't use them again. Nice guys but having the steering head bearing spot ovaled didn't do me any favors.

Juni you are looking at some pretty old posts, from February? The bike has been on the street for a while now.

I'm sorry...It's been awhile since I've been on here, I posted in the wanted section and just thought I check out the rest of the sections but didn't take a look at the date..My bad..Sorry to hear that they messed up one of your frames..Sad I could use gmd as well at race tech but Dr. John is a friend of the shop so that's why I bring my stuff to him...

I've seen the ovaling happen on more than a couple of wrecked bikes..Honda's are supposedly known to be suceptable to it, but my vtr had major front end damage and was totally fine..Weird..beefy frame I guess...Sucks though that kind of damage is a pain to repair and costly as well...

Anyone got any used lap timers they want to get rid of? PM me if so..
